 This is a small talk about music, Nicola asking Kate what kind of music she likes.
 Kate's favorite group is The Beatles, basically because she grow up listening to them.
 Kate tells Nicola the fact that she had those 45's with with single songs of Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles and the Stones. Finally she says that John Lennon is his favorite Beatle's member because he is the coolest and because she also likes his individual work like "Imagine"

 I strongly recommend this podcast, you may be wondering why, basically because it is a short but completely comprehensible audio, I really believe that it can be used at schools because it provides variety of accents and it is not hard to follow.

Glossary: 

 Grew up listening to: If you 'grow up listening to' something it means that you heard it frequently, from the time you were a child until you were an adult. 
 Individual: An 'individual' is one person.  In this case it refers to the work that John Lennon did alone or separate from the rest of the Beatles.  
 45's: A '45' is a very small, old-fashioned record what was especially common for single songs.
