This is a small talk about music, Nicola asking Kate what kind of music she likes.
Kate's favorite group is The Beatles, basically because she grow up listening to them.
Kate tells Nicola the fact that she had those 45's with with single songs of Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles and the Stones. Finally she says that John Lennon is his favorite Beatle's member beca
use he is the coolest and because she also likes his individual work like "Imagine"

I strongly recommend this podcast, you may be wondering why, basically because it is a short but completely comprehensible audio, I really believe that it can be used at schools because it provides variety of accents and it is not hard to follow.

10 Weird Superstitions

10 Weird Superstitions

This podcast is about ten weird superstitions all around the world, the video is from TheDanocracy youtube channel who explains superstitions as a belief some some people hold to explain some events.
One weird superstition is that If a funera, you must hide your thumb in your hand. This is because the Japanese word for thumb literally translates as "parent-finger" and hiding it is considered protection for your parent. If you don't, your parent will die. The second is a belief related to mirrors which says "If you look into a mirror it is stealing your soul" that is why vampires do not have reflection. The last one would be "Knocking on wood" it can be on a table, closet or anything made from wood because good spirits live inside trees and they provide good luck.
I really liked this video, the guy is quite funny, he also has some other funny videos and I really recommend it, it is also interesting to compare how some of this superstition are shared between Chile and the rest of the world.

Unsolved Murders

Unsolved Murders

This podcast is about 10 unsolved murders and the mysteries around them, among this murders we can find why Mexico is called "The city of the lost girls"and "Human Feet" murder in 2007,  ,  British Columbia in Canada and Washington State in the U.S.
One of the murders was the case of Elizabeth Short, her body was dumped in two pieces on an empty lot in Los Angeles, several people confessed the murder but because of lack of evidence it is still not clear.
Another murderer is the case of Tupac Shakur & Notorious B.I.G in September 1996,  two of the most recognizable faces and voices in hip-hop,   in a red light they were shot multiple times, he was carried to a hospital only to die 6 days later.
The last one is about Edgar Allan Poe Murderer out of New York 1849 to make himself a rich man, he died four days later in a airbag hospital, local newspaper called it a combustion of the brain and later alcohol poisoning although it is still unknown if it was natural or  murdered.

Finally, in my opinion this video is great you can learn and think a lot about how people used to die, and because of lack of evidence, the police could never find the murderers.

Where do you see yourself in five more years?

Where do you see yourself in five more years?

This video tries to help you answering this typical question in a job interview, it also provides some tips to answer properly and be hired.

One thing they mentioned is that this question is hard and many employers do it.
Hiring manager cannot predict the future and they not expect you to do it, they are quite interested in knowing whether hiring you will worth the time and money is going to hire you.
Finally a good way to answer this question properly would be to choose some goals you have, mention your strength, skills, talk about the industry and the challenge this would be.

In my opinion this video is quite simple and gives you very good short pieces of advice to have in mind when applying for a job, watch it because it is very clear and comprehensible.

Women v/s Men

Women v/s Men

How does this video show gender differences?
This is a very stereotyped video and also an exaggeration of both sexes, the truth is that every day we are getting more equal and this differences are disappearing.

Which difference do you think is the most accurate? Why?
Definitely the one about shopping, men usually go to a market, get what they want and leave, on the other hand women go to markes, center shops or anyting, even when they are bored, they try on as many things as possible and can even leave without having bought anything.

Which difference do you think is less accurate? Why?
In my opinion the one about Football, for me everything related to sports have nothing to deal with gender and is more like a transversal issue.

At the begining of the sotry he asked his mom what snow was, but she could not explain.

Shopping with My Wife

Shopping with My Wife
This podcast is about a man who doesn't like going shopping and the troubles that are caused because of that activity.
One of the most important issue is the fact that his wife is always doing some questions that complicate him.
Finally the lack of fashion sense in the man makes him always tell the same lies, "you look good"
My comment about this is that is not that interesting but it is something that many men hat, not me, I love shopping.

Glossary:
DREAD: you are not looking forward to something or you do not want do something but you have to do it.
FASHION SENSE: ability to know what looks good and waht does not looks good.
FOLLOW UP: to do something after someone else has done it.
